Ballet has had a significant impact on my life and many of my paintings are influenced by this art form. In particular, I am interested in the way that light augments a dancer's movement on stage and the contrast between the outward beauty of the art and the physical pain it can cause the dancer.
I am also interested in the relationship between art and music. In the past I have explored art as a visual means of representing contemporary songs.
