Original Gel Prints
I have been experimenting with gel prints. They are one of a kind original prints using a gel plate.
Using various techniques and layers of paint, sometimes with embellishments, these prints evolve into unique works.
Here is a quick video of simple gel printing. Many recipes are on line to make your own plate or like this one you can purchase from art supply stores. My paint is everything from the less expensive acrylic to the top quality, each produces a different result. These two images were finished after two layers however you can keep going until you're satisfied with the results. For this video I used acid free card stock . It is fun to try different papers. Each type of paper creates a different result.
The joy is in experimentation!
